green turning black
by: Mike Taylor

thankyou Torbjorn Eriksson for your information. The other chillies are approximately 30-40mm long and look like small torpedos.they start completely green and start to turn glossy black (not dark red) from the tip down.thanks again for your interest. Mike taylor Morissett Australia.

Bolivian Rainbow?
by: Thoorbear

Hi. I think the purple chilis you refer to might be Bolivian Rainbow (have a look at the page http://www.readytogrow.co.uk/seeds/p_Bolivian_Rainbow_Chilli.html for a picture)

As for the "the small vertical green ones that are turning black", I'd have to know just HOW small they are to have a guess. Could be that you have some Facing Heaven - more to read at http://www.answers.com/topic/facing-heaven-pepper
- but to the best of my recollection they don't turn completely black, but only a dark burgundy red.

I'm about to plant some Bolivian Rainbow up here on the other side of the planet, where winter is still reigning and the sun barely shines yet. But come spring, I can set my seedlings out in the garden. Looking forward to tasting them!

Kind regards,

Torbjörn Eriksson
